About Graham

Graham Bleasdale

Graham started taking piano lessons at age 6 and he has loved the piano and music ever since, growing up to the sounds of Elvis Presley, Nat King Cole, Leonard Cohen and Neil Young. He played keyboards and sang in his high school rock band at Maple Ridge High.

Following university, Graham attended Vancouver Community College’s music programme where he learned the basics of jazz arrangement. His first studio experience was recording his independent album ONE WORLD, produced by Paul Hyde of the Payolas. Marriage, kids and teaching intervened, but Graham never forgot his musical roots.

I Believe E.P.

While teaching in London, England he moonlighted often playing in cafes, restaurants and clubs. Prior to the pandemic, he was able to record his I BELIEVE E.P. produced by Derek Nash of the Jools Holland Band. That was a turning point musically as it helped shape his jazz/soul/gospel hybrid sound. At the time, his music caught the attention of music professionals like Ken Burton – former X Factor USA judge and gospel choir director. On a shoestring budget, Graham featured in the TODAY video, shot in one of London’s historic churches. Back in Canada to be closer to family, Graham came up with a more contemporary version of Oh Canada!, working with the St. Andrews Regional High School choir in Victoria. The video was shot by West Coast director Jarrod Chatten.

Graham is currently working on new songs for his Paradise Lost album to be released in 2027.
